As the economy continues to take its toll on small business,
Stephen thought long and hard about stream-lining and down-sizing his own business. "I've watched family and friends close-up shop the past few years and it has been heart breaking to say the least, ... but it's been a real eye opener." says Stephen.
"It was time to make some adjustments."

who've walked thru my doors in Stuart, I am equally looking forward
to seeing my long time customers and friends who have been wearing
our sandals since my parents began making them back in the early 1960s.
... It's generational and I love it." says Stephen.

Stephen's sister Vivian and brother in-law Domenick
will be taking on a new role, making the decision to be care-takers
for her Mother, Matriarch and original sandal maker, Eva Bonanno.
Eva has been diagnosed with Alzheimer's.
Vivian and Domenick will step down from their daily duties as
SBS Customer Service and Wholesale Reps. and focus on the
Website's content and design, along with their new dog collar line,
Preppy Hound, from their home office.
"I can't tell you how excited I am to have the opportunity to create
something I know my customers will be howling for." says Vivian.
The Factory will continue to have "discount bins" at 50% off retail
