Preppy Hound Dog Collars
Preppy Hound logo and company was inspired by a scotty dog drawing my husband Domenick doodled many years ago. I held onto the drawing because I loved it, and knew one day I would find use for it.  2011 “Preppy Hound” was born.
The brand took on a life of its own ...
I set out to design my own dog collars, but discovered it wasn’t as easy as I thought. So I got my very talented brother and sandal designer Stephen Bonanno involved, who helped me create the patterns, figure out the measurements and find the right suppliers.
Our Scottish Terrier, Rippy and her cousin Pit Bull mix, Sugar (who lives up to her name) were my perfect patient models thru the whole process. Allowing me to use them to make sure my collars fit correctly and were comfortable.

Hand-made: Every collar is proudly hand-crafted in the USA. 
Materials: We use 100% leather and whipstitch the base to mimic the classic Palm Beach style sandal. As for the Bling factor, we use only Swarovski Crystals.
Customizing: We have various sizes for all type of dogs, but if you have custom sizing needs, we can provide that service for you for a small fee.
Sizing: The sizes of each collar are approximate. We use a “Martingale” extension chain for extra space in needed, or to be used snuggly around the neck when walking your dog. Otherwise the collar is relaxed around the neck.This is not a choker chain.
